UKNNL Joins Institute of Customer Service
United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory (UKNNL) has become a member of the Institute of Customer Service, representing an important milestone in the organisation’s commitment to its customers across the nuclear industry.

The membership will enable UKNNL to develop a comprehensive customer service roadmap and leverage independent survey capabilities that give valuable insights into internal operations and external relationships.
Clive Aldred, UKNNL Head of Customer Intelligence said:
“This membership represents a significant commitment to keeping our customers at the heart of our mission to enable and deliver nuclear outcomes for Government, and to support the growth of the entire UK nuclear sector.
“The Institute of Customer Service will provide us with the tools and frameworks to objectively measure our performance, identify areas for improvement, and track our progress over time. This independent perspective is invaluable as we work to strengthen both our delivery capabilities and trusted relationships across the nuclear industry following the Government’s Strategic Review of our role.”
Supporting Customers
Through membership with The Institute, UKNNL will gain deeper insights into customer expectations and experiences that will contribute to continuous improvement in order to deliver for our customers.
Building Sector-Wide Trust
The Strategic Review also highlighted UKNNL’s position as a technical and strategic advisor to Government, noting that the organisation “will be held to a heightened reputational standard within the sector.”
Customer surveys and benchmarking will help measure and enhance relationships with customers, supporting UKNNL’s commitment to building upon the trust it holds across the sector.
Looking Ahead
The data gained from membership with The Institute will form a critical component of UKNNL’s work. By understanding customer perceptions and benchmarking against other organisations, UKNNL can make more informed decisions about where to focus improvement efforts.
As UKNNL progresses on this journey, the organisation will continue to share updates on how the membership is helping to deliver for, and build trust with, industry partners.
